South Fayette Township Parks and Recreation’s fun 6-week Summer Playground Camp is now expanded to five days a week! The 2018 program is Monday through Friday from June 18 to July 27. Children ages 5 to 12 are encouraged to play outdoors, exploring our playgrounds and parks while interacting with other youth under the supervision of camp counselors. Scheduling is flexible, so parents can choose the days and times that work best.
Week 1: June 18 - 22 @ Fairview Park
Week 2: June 25 - 29 @ Morgan Park
Week 3: July 2 - July 6 (no 4th) @ Boys Home Park
Week 4: July 9 - July 13 @ Fairview Park

View fireworks from various areas of South Fayette, including Fairview Park, where the fireworks will be launched from a high point. Children will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build simple models that teach the fundamentals of robotic design. Whether learning about sensors while building drills and magic wands, or discovering ways that gears and pulleys create movement while building helicopters and robotic dogs, your child is sure to have a great time.

Campers will play Olympic Games with an international focus! Campers will learn about and participate in Olympic Sports centering on Australia, China, Italy, Brazil and other countries. Some of the Olympic Sports taught include gymnastics, volleyball, field hockey, ice hockey, basketball, badminton, golf, track and field, and more. This is a fantastic international camp that will educate children both mentally and physically. Lego segment and crafts included. Bring snack and water.

This most popular camp program features individual skill development, core techniques, one-on-one skills, freestyle soccer, small sided games and Camp World Cup. The half-day camp is suitable for all skill levels, and the campers will be separated by age. Campers also will spend time learning about respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership.

This camp is all about training to be your favorite superhero! Being a superhero means having strength, agility, balance and speed. We focus on learning special superhero training skills through fun games and activities such as “jumping over hot lava,” “dodging fireballs,” “lightsaber training,” “scooter flying,” “ghostbuster tag,” and more. Being a superhero also means having a compassion for society, a kind heart and a willingness to do good and help others. These are qualities we discuss with our campers. This camp really encourages campers to be a superhero in everyday life! Lego segment and crafts included. Please bring snack and water.
