Real Estate Taxes

COVID-19 Tax Relief

  • The 2% discount period for paying 2020 South Fayette Township real estate taxes is extended from May 31 to Aug. 31, 2020.
  • From Sept. 1 through Dec. 31, 2020, taxes may be paid at face value, with no fees or penalties charged.

The Board of Commissioners took the action May 13, as authorized by Pennsylvania Act 15 of 2020. The action applies only to township property taxes (4.73 mills). Bills were mailed out April 1.

For school district taxes (26.7 mills), separate action would need to be taken by the South Fayette school board. School tax bills are mailed July 1.

In-person tax collection hours are postponed until August. Until then, taxes may be paid by mail to P.O. Box 31, Morgan PA 15064, or dropped off in the bin outside the township office doors during office hours only (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays).

For anyone who purchased property in South Fayette in January or February 2020, please contact Mr. Biber as soon as possible to ensure you properly receive your tax bills. (The county has not yet sent the needed deed transfers to the local tax collector.)

If you have any questions about real estate taxes, please contact the elected tax collector, Kevin Biber, at 412-221-9250.

Tax Collector

  • School tax checks must be made payable to "South Fayette School District."

Real Estate Tax Payment Hours

The tax collector does not have a permanent office in the township building, but holds office hours during periods of high volume. Hours will be published on the Tax Office Calendar when available. Otherwise, please contact the collector regarding availability for individual meetings.
