Beaver Habitat Exploration w/ Allegheny County Park Rangers (Ages 6 - 12)

Join the Allegheny County Park Rangers and learn about beavers and how they affect their environment. Beavers are second only to humans when it comes to changing the landscape they live in. Learn about their habitat, how they build dams and lodges, and what positive and negative impacts they can have. Participants will create their own “beaver dam” and see if theirs holds back water as well as a beaver’s. Program is designed for ages 6 to 12.
