[ARCHIVED] South Fayette Township restricts building access and cancels programs

Sorry Temporarily Closed sign

Effective immediately, the South Fayette Township Municipal Building, 515 Millers Run Road, is closed to the public to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, or coronavirus. The restriction remains in effect until April 1 or until further notice.

Restricted building facilities include the township offices, meeting rooms, police station and senior center. All township employees will continue working, with office staff providing services via phone, email, U.S. mail, fax and web.

In addition, the township has cancelled all events, including Parks and Recreation programs, Athletic Association organized sports, and activities of the South Fayette Area Senior Citizens Association. The South Fayette School District has closed school until April 1.

South Fayette Township Library programs are cancelled. The library itself remains open at this time (subject to change).

Please visit the township website at www.SouthFayettePA.com for information, staff email addresses and Request Tracker, where you can submit a request or question about trash collection, roads and other issues.

The township building restriction is based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Allegheny County Health Department that communities practice social distancing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, or coronavirus.
