South Fayette Township taxpayers are receiving some relief this year to help weather challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic:
The Board of Commissioners took the action May 13, as authorized by Pennsylvania Act 15 of 2020. The action applies only to township property taxes (4.73 mills). Bills were mailed out April 1.
For school district taxes (26.7 mills), separate action would need to be taken by the South Fayette school board. School tax bills are mailed July 1.
In-person township tax collection hours are postponed until August. Until then, taxes may be paid by mail to P.O. Box 31, Morgan PA 15064.
If you have any questions about real estate taxes, please contact the elected tax collector, Kevin Biber, at 412-221-9250.
Please note: Anyone who purchased property in South Fayette in January or February 2020 should contact Mr. Biber as soon as possible to ensure you properly receive your tax bills. (Allegheny County has not yet sent the needed deed transfers to the local tax collector.)
