Allegheny County, including South Fayette Township, moves Fri. June 5 into the green phase of Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf’s COVID-19 reopening process.
State and county health officials emphasize the need to continue to wear masks, practice social distancing, clean and disinfect surfaces frequently, and work remotely when possible.
South Fayette Township is taking a phased approach to safely reopening township and park facilities. Look for announcements in the coming days and weeks.
The township offices, police station and senior center remain physically closed to the public until further notice, with staff continuing to provide the full array of services.
The South Fayette Township Library remains closed but has begun accepting returns in the book drop outside the building. Curbside service could start later in June.
Restaurants may open for indoor and outdoor dining, along with businesses such as salons and gyms, with capacity limits and safety restrictions in place.
