Road paving starts Sept. 22

The $1.5 million road paving program proposed for 2022 includes 23 streets in South Fayette Township, plus the driveway through Boys Home Park.

Mele & Mele & Sons, Inc. of Braddock is expected to complete the work from Sept. 22 through approximately Oct. 7. The contractor is required to notify residents in advance when work is planned on their street.

When paving is scheduled on your street, please move vehicles and other obstructions from the road in advance. Cars parked on the road will delay paving operations.

When the driveway through Boys Home Park is paved, the park will be closed for about a week.

Additionally, township Public Works will repair Cecil Reissing Road and Cecil Sturgeon Road, plus fix storm inlets, patch potholes and complete other maintenance.

All roads will be improved with a layer of asphalt paving. Any of the listed streets that cannot be completed this year, due to weather or other factors, will move to the 2023 program.
