    Enter South Fayette Township Parks and Recreation's Dog Days of Summer Photo Contest, and you and your dog could win a very special gift bag packed with canine delights! The South Fayette Parks and Recreation Board will select a winner from the six photos that collect the most “likes” or "loves" between now and the end of the contest. We’ll announce the winner on Facebook and Instagram. Entering is easy: 1. Post pictures of your dog on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #sfdogdaysofsummer2020 2.   2. Registration Opens for Girls on the Run (Grades 3 - 5)

    Registration opens at noon Weds. Aug. 26. Girls on the Run inspires girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through a research-based curricula that includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the 16-lesson program, girls in 3rd through 5th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event. COVID-19 SAFETY: --Maximum team sizes reduced to 12 girls --Program modifications to adapt to physical distancing --If needed, program can be quickly and easily shifted to virtual practices
