Businesses, residents and other community members now can make tax-deductible donations to the South Fayette Community Fund, which has been set up through the The Pittsburgh Foundation. Contributions benefit Parks & Recreation and community initiatives.
Donors can give tax-deductible funds earmarked for the township’s parks, recreation programs and community development initiatives online or by a check made payable to The Pittsburgh Foundation with South Fayette Community Fund marked on the memo line. Checks can be mailed to 515 Millers Run Road / Morgan, PA 15064 or dropped off at the township municipal building.
A kickoff event for the fund, as well as a groundbreaking ceremony for a new playground in Fairview Park, will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2105 at Fairview Park, in the area of the Rotary Pavilion. Refreshments will be provided.
The South Fayette Community Fund was created thanks to the efforts of the Parks and Recreation Board, in conjunction with township staff, elected officials and community support.
