The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will work on a $1.46 million bridge replacement project from May 14 through mid-November on the bridge that carries Washington Pike over Coal Run, at the entrance to Bursca Business Park in South Fayette Township. Traffic will be maintained in both directions on the bridge, but the lanes will be narrowed to 10 feet in each direction. Trucks will be detoured.
Left-hand turns from southbound Washington Pike into the Bursca Business Park is restricted for trucks. Trucks can access the business park by using the following route:
From north of the bridge:• From Washington Pike, take Route 50 west • Take I-79 southbound • Take the Southpointe/Hendersonville off-ramp (Exit 48) • At the end of the ramp, turn left onto South Pointe Boulevard • Turn left onto Morganza Road (Route 1009) • Morganza Road becomes Washington Pike (Route 3003) • End detour
All truck traffic exiting the Bursca Drive Business Park must turn left onto Washington Pike. Truck traffic can use the above listed detour route in reverse to access points north of the bridge.
