Millers Run Road and Mitchell Street are set to reopen the week of Aug. 24, as part of a $19 million State Route 50 improvement project in South Fayette Township.
Millers Run Road (S.R. 978) is scheduled to fully reopen to traffic at the Gladden intersection with Route 50 on Monday, Aug. 24, in the afternoon. The farmers market will be accessible by crossing Route 50 from Millers Run.
Mitchell Street will reopen late Mon. Aug. 24 or midday Tues. Aug. 25, allowing traffic to enter and exit Route 50 in both directions.
Parks Road will be accessible to Route 50 at all times.
Alpine Road will be accessible, but later the road will be closed for 18 days, probably around the end of September (date to be determined).
Also during the week of Aug. 24, all traffic will be shifted to westbound lanes on Route 50 and will remain in that configuration through late October.
Golden Triangle Construction Company, Inc. is the prime contractor for this Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation project.
