On Monday, September 28, milling and resurfacing work will begin on Washington Pike in Bridgeville Borough. Paving will occur weeknights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. between Chartiers Street and Station Street. Weekend work may occur. Single-lane alternating traffic will occur with flaggers assisting motorists through the work zone. The project will conclude in early November.
The PennDOT project, part of a $2.4 million contract to resurface four roadways in Allegheny County, includes milling and resurfacing, base repairs, shoulder repairs, drainage improvements, line painting and other miscellaneous construction. The Lane Construction Corporation is the prime contractor.
