South Fayette Township police Sgt. Jeff Sgro has been chosen by his peers to be president of the Pennsylvania Association of School Resource Officers, which aims to promote school safety, educate children, and develop relationships with schools, communities, police, emergency services and students. The township police department assigns Sgt. Sgro to work in the South Fayette School District 9 months each year.
