[ARCHIVED] PennDOT road work set for spring and summer

Road work is scheduled to occur on Union Avenue, Washington Pike, Boyce Road, Millers Run Road, Robinson Run Road, Kenneweg Avenue and Oakridge Road in South Fayette Township as part of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) road work projects this spring and summer.

Some temporary closures may occur. Signs will be posted in each location in advance. Here is a tentative outline of PennDOT District 11's planned work:

STARTS APPROX. LATE MAY/EARLY JUNE
-Union Ave./Route 978 (base repair, from Oakdale Borough to Battle Ridge Rd.)
-Washington Pike (base repair, between the county line and Colussy)
-Boyce Rd. (base repair, from Washington Pike to the 7-11)

STARTS APPROX. EARLY JULY
-Millers Run Rd. (mill and resurface portion from Route 50 to Battle Ridge Road)
-Kenneweg Ave. (paving and overlay)
-Robinson Run Rd. (mill and resurface lower section from Noblestown Road to just beyond houses going up the hill)

IN COOPERATION WITH PA AMERICAN WATER CO.
-Oakridge Rd. (resurface entire road in conjunction with utility restoration work)
