[ARCHIVED] Police collecting toys for Children's Hospital patients

Presents from Police Photos

New, unwrapped toys for girls and boys are being accepted through Dec. 19 in the South Fayette Township police lobby, 515 Millers Run Rd., from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.

South Fayette police officer Mike Kuchta will deliver the gifts Dec. 20 to patients at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC through the Presents from Police program.

"I'm proud and happy to participate," Officer Kuchta said.

The program, in its fifth year, originated with Aspinwall police and has grown to involve other departments, including South Fayette Township.

Toys also are being collected in the township administrative offices next door for clients of the Bridgeville Area Food Bank. That collection runs through Mon. Dec. 5.
