[ARCHIVED] Christmas tree disposal options offered in January

South Fayette Township residents have several options in January for disposing of their live Christmas tree. All decorations, stands and synthetic materials must be completely removed for recycling options.

Drop off your tree for recycling from dawn to dusk through Mon. Jan. 16 at any Allegheny County Park, including Settlers Cabin Park near the wave pool.
Drop off your tree for recycling at the Wood Waste Recycling Center in Boys Home Park in South Fayette Township.
Place your tree (6-foot maximum) at the curb for your regular trash pickup (available through the Thurs. Jan. 26 collection).
Consider creative options, such as using your tree as a bird feeder.
