Allegheny County is starting road improvements on Aug. 31 on Seminary Avenue/Thoms Run Road, between Battle Ridge Road and Union Avenue, in South Fayette Township, Oakdale Borough and Collier Township, weather permitting. Work will occur between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and continue for about six weeks. The road will remain open, but please expect delays and one-lane, alternating traffic with flaggers. The road is county-owned.
Work includes drainage repairs, safety improvements and paving. The work is part of the 2017 Capital Roads Reconstruction Project, an $8.3 million construction contract to repave roads throughout the Allegheny County. The contractor is The Lane Construction Corporation.
