Road work and lane closures will continue through the week of Oct. 14 to complete improvements at Route 50/Millers Run Road and Washington Pike, and at the I-79 southbound ramp in South Fayette Township. Repaving at the intersection is set for Friday night (Oct. 11) and Saturday morning (Oct. 12).
Single-lane traffic occurs overnight between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily, weather permitting. Some daytime work also occurs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with single-lane restrictions and traffic flaggers.
Contractor A. Folino Construction is performing the work under permits from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Work involves improving median islands, installing new curbs, and milling and paving. Washington Pike will be affected between Route 50 and Daniell Drive (near GetGo). Route 50 will be affected from Washington Pike to the Interstate 79 ramps.
