The Port Authority of Allegheny County is discontinuing its park and ride service in South Fayette Township on Sat. July 4.
The 31-Bridgeville and G31-Bridgeville Flyer no longer will serve South Fayette. No other stops will be missed.
Burns Scalo has purchased the former Star City property, 100 Hickory Grade Road, for redevelopment, so the space no longer can be used for a park and ride lot.
The Port Authority continues to look for alternate parking options in the area, according to a press statement.
The Port Authority encourages customers to park at the South Hills Village garage, with a daily fee of $2 a day or $22 a month. The Woodville park and ride also is served by the 31-Bridgeville and G31-Bridgeville Flyer, but it quickly fills to capacity on weekday mornings.
