South Fayette Township has partnered with SmartPower to kick off an exciting new solar campaign in our community – Solarize South Fayette Township!
The Official Launch and Go-Solar Workshop will be held on Monday, March 2nd from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the South Fayette Middle School Auditorium, 3700 Old Oakdale Road, South Fayette, PA 15057. We will discuss the benefits of solar and tell you how you can go solar through the Solarize Allegheny campaign. Refreshments will be served.
Solarize South Fayette Township is a local campaign under the Solarize Allegheny umbrella - a project funded by the Heinz Endowments and managed by non-profit organization SmartPower - to double the amount of solar energy throughout Allegheny County over two years. South Fayette Township is one of four communities that will host the campaign over the next 20 weeks. Through Solarize South Fayette Township, residents and businesses will have the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of solar energy through a robust, on-the-ground outreach campaign. In addition, Solarize Allegheny will also incorporate a valuable online tool for residents and businesses that helps them connect directly to local, pre-screened, qualified solar installers who will offer competitive bids and guidance and help them get solar on their homes and businesses.
The price of solar has dropped dramatically over the past several years so that solar now costs about what you pay for your electric bill each month. Learn how solar is a sound investment in your home that could save you money.
Come and find out why Solar Makes Sense for South Fayette Township and for your home or business!
