[ARCHIVED] Police hosting 5K run and walk Sun. Sept. 26 at Fairview Park

The FBI National Academy, Western Pennsylvania Chapter, in partnership with the South Fayette Township Police Department and Parks & Recreation Department, is hosting the Evelsizer Family 5K Run and Walk on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Fairview Park, 129 Greenwood Drive, South Fayette, PA 15017.

The race course will include roads and grass. Run to compete, or walk for fun!

Fee is $25 a person; advance registration is required. Maximum number of participants is 250.

Registration includes:

  • Race participation
  • T-shirt (must register by Sept. 10 to guarantee shirt)
  • Custom medal
  • Beer ticket for Over The Bar
  • Live music by Dave Iglar Band
  • Food and drink sales
  • Raffles

The race honors Mark Evelsizer, a lifelong member of the FBI National Academy, and his wife, Marty, who recently died of cancer.

Proceeds from this race will benefit the FBI National Academy, Western PA Chapter, for training, scholarships and future events.

Prizes:

  • Overall Male - Trophy 
  • Overall Female -Trophy

Age Groupings:

  • Males (1- 14, 15 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60+)
  • Females (1- 14, 15 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60+)

Race Day Schedule

  • 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM- Race Check-in at Fairview Park Rotary Pavilion
  • 10:00 AM - Race Start
  • 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM: Live Music, Raffles & Food/Drink Sales
