[ARCHIVED] Registration open for new e-sports program

FALL ESPORTS SEASONAL FLYER

South Fayette Township Parks and Recreation is excited to introduce e-sports, starting this fall.

Registration for this newly offered program is open now through Wed. Sept. 28, 2022.

Players must register directly on the GGLeagues website.

In partnership with GGLeagues, South Fayette will offer remote e-sport programming where participants can play their favorite video games, competitively, from the comfort of their own homes, against participants across the Eastern time zone. GGLeagues is the premier platform built for recreational e-sports players and communities.

League Schedule:

  • 6-week regular season: Oct. 3 - Nov. 11
  • Playoffs: Nov. 14 - Nov. 18
  • Championship: Nov. 21 - Nov. 25

South Fayette will offer the following leagues in the fall:

  • -Madden22 (Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5)
    • Ages 8-12
    • 13+
  • -Rocket League, 1v1, 3v3
    • Ages 13-17
    • 18+
  • -Fortnite, Solos & Duos
    • Ages 13+
  • Super Smash Bros (Nintendo Switch), 1v1
    • Ages 8-12
    • 13-18
    • 18+
  • -Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Nintendo Switch), 1v1
    • Ages 8-12
    • 13-18
    • 18+

The fall season pass price is $40 per player. A player needs to purchase only one season pass, which will unlock all the games offered in the fall season. If the game is team-based (e.g. 3v3 Rocket League), all players will need to purchase a season pass.

REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE TAKEN ON THE TOWNSHIP’S OWN RECREATION WEBSITE. YOU MUST SIGN UP DIRECTLY WITH GGLEAGUES.

Players must have the designated system (Playstation 5, Xbox S/X Series, Nintendo Switch) and the game itself to play.

For each game, a referee provided by GGLeagues monitors that fair play is achieved and all players are abiding by GGLeague's rules and play code of conduct.
