Dear Residents of South Fayette Township:
It is with great
privilege that I am able to speak with you in this forum. As the Chief
of Police, I would like to extend an invitation to an open line of
communication to all residents with any questions, comments or concerns.
I can always be reached by e-mail or phone, and if I am not in the
office, I will be sure to return any and all messages in a timely
manner.
Our department is made up of fifteen officers and one
non-uniformed employee. We have ten patrol vehicles and an “incident
command” van that responds to serious emergency situations. The van has
various communication capabilities and support equipment and serves as
the department’s mobile office when needed.
Personally, I have
lived in South Fayette Township for 24 years and am married with three
children. I have a total of 28 years of experience in law enforcement
and have been employed with the South Fayette Township Police Department
for the past 25 years. I am personally vested in the community in which
I serve, and am blessed to do so.
As our mission statement notes,
the police department “constitutes an organization whose very existence
is justified solely on the basis of community service.” I, along with
all of our officers, fully believe in providing a service to the people
and in defending the rights of all citizens guaranteed under our
structure of government.
According to the Safewise.com newsletter,
South Fayette Township is ranked the 15th safest community in
Pennsylvania. With your help and support, together we not only can keep
it one of the safest communities, but also work to make it better. Thank
you.
